Transportes y Pescados Nelo S.L. has been established in the port of Burela, in the north of the province of Lugo (Spain) since 1992. However, the history of the company began many years before, in 1962, when Mr Generoso Trobo started to supply fresh fish and all kinds of seafood locally and regionally.
In 1992, due to its growth and turnover, his company became a Limited Company, and the founder’s son, Manuel Trobo “Nelo”, took charge of its management and administration. For the last three years Myriam Trobo, the founder’s granddaughter, has continued to develop the concept of family business.
For the last 24 years we have supplied fresh products to the main national markets, frozen food companies, canning companies, fishmongers, etc., and it has been 14 years since we became co-founders of an innovative project which involves the processing of frozen fish.
Our work philosophy, based on professionalism, trust, commitment to our customers and high quality products, guarantees a history of over 60 years which spans three family generations.
Today, thanks to a young, ambitious and highly-skilled team, the strategy and purpose of our company are to achieve international expansion and become leaders in export and national sales of fresh and frozen fish products.
